On Saturday the 14th of December, 8 of our young musicians from All In Music took to the high street of Southend-on-sea to partake in our 2nd “Busking Day” event of the year.
This took place from 10am until 3pm in the centre of the high street under the bridge of Southend Central station. Our fantastic performers throughout the entire day were Alice Berry, Luke Evans, Nate Doucette, Alex Newman, Josh Jackson, Elora Walton, Katie Blackwell and Chloe Payne. Accompaniment also came form our two tutors Tom and Davey.
The public were very giving and generous to our buskers in the fact that the young performers raised a grand total of £233.78.
Via busking, our young musicians collectively wanted to raise awareness for youth homelessness and mental health in young people.
The money raised has now been donated to the Southend YMCA towards its projects - so once again a huge thank you to the Southend public for giving this amount and enjoying our young musicians sets of both originals and covers.
A very successful day of busking which displayed our young people’s skills, practice and dedication during their sessions at All In Music for this performance opportunity.
