Volunteering at Southend YMCA is about more than giving time and sharing skills. It gives you the chance to learn about others, build new friendships, develop new skills and confidence. It is also a great opportunity to get experiance to enahnce your CV, or improove your job prospects.

What's the value of volunteering?

What will I do whilst volunteering? 

You can volunteer with Southend YMCA in a range of roles find out more about each of them:

> Community Games - You could volunteer at one of our events as a one off, or help us to plan future community games sporting and fundraising events.

> Motivate - You can participate by volunteering 3 hours a week, or 30 hours a week! We set up campaign and intergenerational projects in the community - it's volunteering with a difference.

> SOS Bus - The SOS Bus is always looking for volunteers to support it when it's in Southend High Street on a Friday and Saturday night providing assistance to the night time economy.

Volunteering can open up areas in your life which we know will lead to a sense of fulfilment and good citizenship, it can lead to employment, meeting new contacts and gaining confidence, as well as supporting Southend YMCA.
