16 August 2011
In the afternoon of Tuesday 16th August 2011 (and well into the evening) Sam Duckworth (aka Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly) was at Switch Studio recording a track with students on the Switch Music course.
The recording session followed on from our Music Advice Panel in April at Chinnerys music venue, when a panel of industry experts, including Sam, parted with their advice for the audience.
Following the panel, Switch students played sets to the audience which Sam stuck around for. Impressed with the quality of the acts, he offered to come to Southend YMCA to produce a track with some students.
Below are the pictures and updates as the night unfolded.
UPDATE 5:03PM: Sam is currently in the studio rehearsing the track that Callum, George & Andy will be recording 'I'm Alive Now' (working title), getting down to the fine detail before laying down the tracks.

UPDATE 8:18PM: The complete live take has been captured - everyone's happy with it - now just to overdub the vocals.
UPDATE 9:18PM: The vocals have been overdubbed and now just tracking them.
Callum listens to the final edit of the track before Sam takes it away to master.
UPDATE 10:30PM: Sam, Callum & Andy finished after a long day (minus George) - finally leaving the studio after working hard for 6 hours.
