Ways you can donate

There are many ways you can help Southend YMCA to support disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people in the South East of Essex. You don't have to donate money to make a difference; you can donate goods (such as food, clothes and furniture), fundraise at an event or donate your time.

We've listed some of the ways we can use your money to benefit disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people so you know where your money goes. Just click here.

1. Donate Online

You can donate online via JustGiving, the worlds leading charity giving platform.

You can give a one off donation or donate monthly. Don't forget to aid Gift Aid to your donation.

2. Donate by Text

You will get a reply text to confirm it has been successful, and please don't forget to aid Gift Aid to your donation.

Donate Goods

We welcome donations of unperishable food items, toiletries and other essential items at Southend YMCA.

We have a list of items on our donate goods page (www.southendymca.org.uk/donategoods) which includes items for our homelessness provision, the SOS Bus project & YMCA Charity Shop.

Your donations help feed the homeless, facilitate the work of the SOS Bus and support young people living in supported accommodation.

Become a Friend of Southend YMCA

If you would like to sign up to become a friend of Southend YMCA, you can do so for £5 a month in return for a variety of incentives and privileges (or £20 a month if you are representing a business).

Donate Time

Volunteers help to change the lives of young people and make a real impact on not just the lives of others, but their own. There are several different ways you can give your time to Southend YMCA.

Want to volunteer on the SOS Bus project?
If you would like to find out about volunteering with the Southend or Basildon SOS Bus Project visit www.southendymca.org.uk/sosbus

Want to volunteer for the organisation?

Quite often we offer work experience, voluntary placements and apprenticeships in a variety of roles, if you're interested in this.

16-25, unemployed and looking to volunteer?
Southend YMCA's Motivate projects offers project work 2 hours a week and 30 hours a week volunteering for unemployed young people.

Leave a Legacy

Leaving a legacy is one of the great ways to help support Southend YMCA.

It's thanks to the support of individuals who have left a legacy to our work in their wills that our services have continued to develop and support thousands of young people.

We believe leaving a gift to Southend YMCA in your will can help young people to change their future.
